 Since my previous post, I've spent $291.86 on the pets.  I spent:

$106.86 at VetSource for a 3 month supply of NexGard Combo for Prickles,

$60 at Chewy online for several bags of Paul Newman's soft sticks for Amis and Penny, and

$125 to the mobile groomer for a bath and nail trim for Penny and a nail trim for Amis.

YTD Total Pet Expenses for 2026 - $4589.90  ($655.70 monthly Average).

 In June 2026 I spent $1072.91 on the pets.  I spent:

 $632.75 at the Vet's office for Prickles' annual exam and bloodwork, and an appt to have Amis' toe checked.

288.23 at Chewy online for pee pads for Penny, 2 cases of wet food and treats for the kitty, treats for the dogs and other things I can't remember, 

$125 to the mobile groomer to bathe Amis and to trim his nails, and to trim Penny's nails, 

And $26.93 at the locally owned pet store for a bag of premium dry cat food for Prickles.

Yearly pet expenses to date: $4298.04  ($716.34 monthly average).

 Since my previous post I've spent $575.65 on the pets.  I spent:

$277.10 at Chewy online for  2 variety packs of Friskies wet food, Temptations treats and Acana lickables for Prickles, two sizes of pee pads, fish oil, cosequin and treats for the dogs,

$73.25 at the locally owned pet store for a 40# bag of litter and a bag of dry food for Prickles,

$225.29 at the vet's office for an appt for Amis to have a lump between his toes checked. Included were the physical exam, lab work and prescriptions for Clavamox and Anamax.

YTD Expenses: $3225.13  ($645.03 monthly average).

Since my previous post I've spent $611.15 on the pets.  I spent:

$47.35 at Petsmart for a new retracting leash for Amis,

$106.86 at Vetsource online for a 3 month supply of Nexgard Combo for Prickles,

$206.94 at Chewy online for canned food for Penny,  chews and treats for the dogs and cat food, lickables and other treats for Prickles, 

$250 to the groomer for 2 visits, 1 bath for each dog, 2 nail trims for each.

YTD Pet expenses:  $26.49.48.  (monthly ave = $$662.37).

In March, I spent $62.06 on the pets.  I spent:

$62.06 at Chewy online for Nature's Miracle laundry additive and Newman's Own dog treats for the pets.

In February 2026 I spent $982.23 on the pets.  I spent:

$624.48 at the vet's office to have Penny's 3 remaining teeth removed and to purchase 3 cans of wet dog food,

$357.75 at Chewy's online for 2 cases of wet cat food and lickable treats for Prickles, pee pads for Penny and treats and food toppers for both dogs.  

YTD Pet Expenses:  $1976.88  (monthly average = $988.44).

 In January of 2026 I spent $994.64 on the pets.  I spent:

$182.08 at Chewy online for food, treats, food toppers and pee pads for the dogs,

$19.22 at Petco for collagen chews for Amis,

$702.31 at the vet's office for Penny's annual exam, pre-surgical exam and blood work for dental extractions to be performed this month, rabies, bordatella and lepto vaccinations and shots for year long protection for internal and external parasites, and

$91.03 at Vetsource online for a 3 month supply of Nexgard Combo for Prickles.

Total yearly expenses so far this year:  $994.64.

12/31/2025

 Since my last post I've spent $841.99 on the pets.  I spent:

$379.08 on 5 orders from Chewy online.  Those orders included pee pads, dog food, , dehydrated chicken, turkey tendons, probiotics and assorted chews and treats for both the dogs and the cat,

$168.56 at the vet's Office for an exam for Penny when she was experiencing diarrhea but no vomiting,

$144.85 at the locally owned pet store for a new cat scratching tree, cat litter, a bag of dry food  and  other things I do not remember for Prickles, and

$150 to the mobile groomer for a bath and nail trim for Amis and a nail trim for Penny.  I included an extra tip for Christmas.

Total Expenses for 2025: $9473.74   (Average/mo = $789.48).

11/30/2025

 In November I spent $359.39 on the pets.  I spent:

$199.14 at Chewy online for 2 cases of Friskies wet cat food, 4 pkgs of Inova lickables for cats and Probiotics, treats and chews for the dogs,

$59.56  at Petco for toys for each pet and Vinnie (Amis's best friend), and chews for Amis,

$14.07 at the locally owned pet store for a small package of dehydrated chicken, and 

$86.62 at Vetsource online for a 3 month dose of Bravecto for cats.

YTD total - $8631.75  ($719.31 average / mo).

11/1/2025

 In October, I spent $1368.04 on the pets.  I spent:

$710.37 at the vet's office to have Amis and Prickles tested for ringworm and to puchase oral and topical medications for Amis and shampoo for Penny,

$175.95 at the locally owned pharmacy for a bottle of liquid medication for Amis,

$24.97, at the locally owned pet store for treats for all three pets,

$42.01 at Fleet Farm for another heated pet pad,

$11.00 at the local SmartWash to wash Amis's bed,

$403.95 for all 5 Chewy autoships which included dog food, treats and supplements, cat food and 2 sizes of pee pads.

YTD Total Expenses:  $8272.36   ($827.24 monthly average)

 In September, I spent $703.18 on the pets.  I spent:

$642.64 at the vet's office for Amis's yearly wellness exam.  The fees included analysis of blood, urine and feces, bordetella and lepto/Lyme vaccines and the new yearly shots for internal and external parasites, and

$60.54 at Vetsource online for a 6-month refill of Sentinel for Penny.

YTD Total:  $$6,904.32.  (monthly average  $$767.14)

In August I spent $1075.88 on the pets.  I spent:

$641.95 at the vet's office to have Amis treated for diarrhea and vomiting and for Penny's wellness exam,

$338.70 at Chewy online (every single autoship came due in August) for dog food, cat food, pee pads, a probiotic for Amis, a laundry additive from Nature's Miracle and various treats for all pets,

$86.62 to Vetsource online for Bravecto for Prickles and,

$8.61 to the locally owned pet store for a bag of treats for Vinnie (Amis's bestie).

YTD total expenses: $6201.14.  (monthly average - $775.14).

 In July 2025 I spent $431.82 on the pets.  I spent:

$25.84 at the locally owned pet store on No-Hide Chews for Amis,

$77.28 at Farmhounds online for treats for Amis, 

$55.05 at Chewy online for a case of large pee pads and a package of Cosequin for the dogs, and

$273..65 at the vet's office for a physical exam for Penny which included a Lyme/lepto vaccine, Bordatella vaccine and prescription for Bravecto for flea and tick prevention.

YTD Expenses:  $5125.26  (ave. $732.18 mo in 2025).

7/6/2025 - Hello, Penny!

 In June I spent $1143.60 on the pets.  I spent:

$321.75 at the Journey Home Animal Shelter to adopt Penny, a 4 year old, Chihuahua mix,

$65.68 at the locally owned pet store for a new harness for Penny and 2 packages of lickables for Prickles,  

$21.50 at DOGIDS online for a name tag for Penny,

$212.10 at Chewy online for a 14# bag of Royal Canin Small Dog dry food for the dogs, 48 cans of wet cat food for Prickles, and a 60 ct package of Flexadin Joint Support chewables for all 3 pets, and

$522.57 at the vet's office for a wellness exam (with sedation) and a 3-pack of Centragard for Prickles.

Total Yearly Expenses:  $4693.44.

5/31/2025 - Good Bye Shirley

 Since my last post I've spent $741.97 on the pets.  I spent:

$146.57 at Chewy Online for a bag of Purina Bright Eyes for Shirley,  a 48 can case of cat food for Prickles, and pee pads and fish oil for the dogs,

$71.90 at the local pharmacy for refills of Novox and alprazolam for Shirley,                                  

$19.36 at the locally owned pet shop for lickable treats for Prickles,

$50.45 at Petco for a bath and nail trim (plus tip) for Amis,

$77.96 at Vetsource online for a 3 month dose of Bravecto for Prickles, and

$375.73 at the vet's office for euthanasia and cremation for Shirley.

YTD Expenses: $3549.49. 

Flowers sent in memory of Shirley by the local compounding pharmacy.

$16.11 at Petco for a bag of treats for Shirley,

$38.48 at Marlene's Cat Store online for a scratching toy for the cat, and

$75 deposit for Shirley's wellness exam for tomorrow.

Total Expenses for the year so far:  $1804.05.

$269.95 at the locally owned pharmacy for a refill of Apoquel for Shirley,

$184.28 at Chewy online for 2 cases of cat food and treats for Prickles, and Pee Pads, Cosequin and Flexadin for Amis and Shirley, 

$74.12 at Petco for a grooming appt for Amis, a set of Paws booties for Amis and a large stuffed Lambchop (75% off) for Amis.

$150 on grooming appts for both Amis and Shirley.  They each got a bath and a nail trim,

$168.72 at the local compounding pharmacy for a 90 ct. refill of fluoxetine for Shirley,

$116.06 at Chewy online for a 14 lb bag of dogfood and 2 cases of Friskies wet cat food,

$16.11 at Petco for soft treats for Shirley.
