The fun never ends around here.  Yesterday I spent $298.58 at the Vet ER on Mavis.  At noon I noticed she had a huge abscess between the middle toes of her left hind foot.  The cost included the exam, cytology (because she's had mast cell tumors), wound care, bandage, and prescriptions for Simplicef, Carprofen and Tramadol.  YTD Expenses:  $2257.72.

It's been 3 weeks since I posted but not since I spent $$ on the pets.  In the last 3 weeks I have spent $712.33 on the pets.  I spent $160.57 online for 3 months supply of lysine treats for Birdie, Forti-Flora for Walter, Lean Treats for Bandit and American made rawhide treats for Walter and Mavis.  I spent 74.80 at the local pharmacy for 2 bottles each of Timelol and Latanoprost for Bandit and $45.07 at the compounding pharmacy for benazepril for Bandit.  Also in that time I spent $432.19 at the vet's office.  That included 2 progress consults (in successive weeks) and IOP checks plus one bottle of Flurbiprofen for Bandit.  I also purchased 2 cases of Feline SO for Birdie and for Walter I purchased a 180 ct bottle of 25.mg caplets of Carprofen, an 18 lb bag of Canine HP and 3 2" rolls of Vetwrap.  YTD Expenses:  $1959.14.

This week I spent $412.17 on Bandit.  On Tuesday night I spent $322.57 at the Vet ER after Walter shook him by the head and injured his left eye.  Bandit's left eye began to swell immediately and there was blood dripping from his eye - due to his glaucoma his left eye swollen already.  Anyway, the fee included the exam, corneal staining, intra ocular pressure check, Rimadyl and Polyflex injections, and prescriptions for clavamox, carprofen and Neo Poly Bacitracin ointment.  I also spent $66.90 for exams by his regular vet and $22.70 for a refill of flurbiprofen.  YTD Expenses:  $1246.81.

On Friday I spent $218.53 at the Vet's office to have Birdie's teeth cleaned.  I received a 40% discount since I have it done annually.  YTD Expenses:  $834.64.

Since Saturday I have spent $68.97 on Bandit.  On Saturday I spent $23.90 at the local pharmacy on a bottle of latanoprost and today I spent $45.07 at the compounding pharmacy for a bottle of benazepril.  YTD Expenses:  $616.11.

This week I spent $386.80 on the pets.  On Tuesday I spent $346.00 at the vet's office for Birdie and Bandit to have senior wellness exams with blood panels and Bandit had his rabies vaccination.  I also spent $40.80 online for a 20# bag of Flint River Ranch Senior Plus Kibble for Mavis.  YTD Expenses:  $547.14.

Last week I spent $69.44 on Bandit.  I spent $17.09 at Petco for a new sweater and a package of Charlee Bears.  I spent $38.85 at the Vet's office for two bottles of Flurbibrofen and I spent $13.50 at the local pharmacy for at bottle of Timelol.  YTD Expenses:  $160 34.
